inktober - 004

"Hungry."

Inktober -003

Tried 60 second gesture drawings with a fine tipped nib dipped in india ink.  Very difficult.  I had to slow down to about 1/4 of normal hand movement speed.  Very challenging.  Love the ink though.  Looking forward to trying out inking some pencil drawings with this method.

Inktober - 002

" Noisy."

Inktober - 001

Seems many people I know are doing Inktober.  Let's join in.  Looking forward to the challenge of trying to make more finished images.  Already proving difficult and humbling.  I'm used to filling pages with floating heads, figures, and hands.  Also looking forward to practicing some new mediums like brushes and nibs/quills dipped in india ink.

Doodles with new Brush Pen

I was gifted a brush pen at work.  Had some fun doodling on a little pad of thin paper.  I think it's from staples.  It's thin enough to making draw overs quite easy.  Been doing a little homework studying "animation," style faces.  Then some alternate facial proportions.

New Caricature.

Coworker Caricature

Caricature of a co-worker.  He proved very challenging.  Very easy to make him look like other people.
