Return to Spring Studio

Back to Spring Studio for a day of drawing.  Was tired and burnt out, but that's no excuse so we got an early morning train to NYC.  The shorter gesture poses felt the best.  I'm trying to gesture the same size on newsprint as I'll draw on better paper.  Started falling apart on longer poses.  Thinking was hard and got overwhelmed by details.  The portrait session was a disaster as I was floundering.  BUT, I a GREAT lesson from the monitor Lyle Gertz.  Called me out on floundering and set be back on track.  Goals for the new year are values, composition and getting out of my own way.  Once again,  a great group of people there to draw.  And the day before Christmas no less.

Devolution below.  Keep moving forward.

What the NONSENSE IS THIS!???
